The Third Book Expo was conducted in Virdhunagar District from 27.09.2024 to 07.10.2024 at KVS High School, Virudhunagar. In order to create awareness about this expo and to enhance the reading skills, the JDCE gave instructions to make students study during the lunch hour in the libraries entitled as "VAASIPOM VANGA". Arranging Books in the Library
The Part V - Library and Information Science students of Unit II have been oriented about the classification system followed in the library on 29.08.2024, and following the system they arranged the books in the library through which the information retrieval skills of the students have been enriched for their academic and research activities. 46 students have been engaged in the activity.
OBJECTIVE:
To enrich the Divyangjan with Modern Assistive Technology by bookshare.org for easy learning.
e-CIRCULAR
The Divyangjan of V.V.Vanniaperumal College for Women, Virudhunagar are using assistive technology for writing their assignments online using their own institutional mail IDs using Google Docs from the system dedicated for DIVYANGJAN after the workshop conducted by Bookshare.org. The assignments will be sent online to the mentors and the corrections will be reverted to the students through online, so that their assignments are documented digitally.
The class wise orientations are given to the freshers to introduce about the LIBRARY. They are oriented about the activities, services and functions of the library along with a physical tour about the various sections and documents that are kept in the library for their usage.
