       All the I, II year U.G and I P.G students are asked to return their library books and magazines on or before 14.03.2018.

         If they are in need of library books for EXAMINATION purpose, they (except final year U.G and P.G students) can renew from 15.03.2018 to 17.03.2018 and they can return the books at the beginning of the next semester (June 2018).

ILL Service Inception - 16.02.2018

ILL SERVICE FROM VVVC LIBRARY

We feel very happy to inform that our VVVC Library has incepted ILL service on 16.02.2018.  

The first recipient department is DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS (AIDED).  

The ILL is between VVV College and DELNET.  

Thanks to DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS (AIDED) for availing the service from VVVC LIBRARY.

eResources - Database - Dimensions

Dear all,

A new citation database called Dimensions launched a few weeks ago, which could be an alternative to Web of Science or Scopus.

For those of us who don't have access to those products, Dimensions runs on a freemium model, allowing anyone to utilize basic functions while its owners hope that organizations and universities pay for higher level functionality and support.

Users in the free version should find the functionality much like other citation databases, being able to search by subject keywords, journal title, author name and, say, university name.

The free version of this tool could be very helpful to researchers: helping find the names of journals publishing in specific disciplines (and the quality of those journals), providing papers/ citations in those disciplines and maybe even potential collaborators.  Those paying for the premium version would also be able to get information on grants, clinical trials and patents - and presumably more metric tools.
