PART V - LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE - 27.09.2016

Under Part V - Library and Information Science Forum the "Ah Boy!" motivational video has been screened to Part V - Library and Information Science students in S.P.G.R Meeting Hall on 27.09.2015 from 03.30 p.m. to 04.20 p.m. The main objective is to inculcate the initiation and persistence of activities towards excellence.

Many of the students felt the situation and assured that they will excel in academics and other curricular activities, and also utilize the opportunities.

The UGC INFLIBNET - NLIST (for Colleges) consortium is providing access to a huge number of eResources and our College is a member of this NLIST programme.  Using this NLIST the e-articles, e-books, e-documents, etc. can be downloaded and saved.  This eResource consortium helps us in our Research Activity.

INFORMATION LITERACY - AMAZON KINDLE UNLIMITED - 26.08.2016

I thank our College Management and our Principal for launching 'AMAZON KINDLE UNLIMITED' eResource in our VVVC Library.  It is another mile stone in the history of our College Library towards achieving our mission and vision in academic excellence through eLearning technology.

Also, I thank our Principal for granting me an opportunity to conduct an information literacy programme on "AMAZON KINDLE UNLIMITED - STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL" to all the faculty members of our College on 26.08.2016 through a power point presentation in our Idhayam Rajendran Jegadhambal Meeting Hall.

The programme has become an interactive session and I thank the faculty members for showing their keen interest in knowing a new eResource launched by our College to excel in academics.  Once again I thank our Principal Dr.S.M.Meena Rani, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., PGDCA for initiating, introducing and implementing KINDLE eResource in our College.  Also, I thank Mrs.G.Karthigai Lakshmi, B.E., M.B.A., M.Phil., PGDCA., M.Sc.(IT) for her valuable suggestions and I thank Mrs.P.Suganthi, HoD, MBA for lending her hands in exploring and subscribing to KINDLE UNLIMITED.
