CIRCULAR

The Department of Library and Information Science is going to organize “4^th ONE DAY INTRA COLLEGIATE LIBRARY CARNIVAL” on 19.09.2019.  The students (U.G, P.G, M.Phil., Ph.D) are asked to enroll themselves in the library on or before 11.09.2019 (strictly after 11.09.2019 the names will not be included). Only the registered students are allowed to participate in the competitions.  Judges decision will be final.

RULES

GENERAL RULES

•           Student should bring writing pad, A4 sheet and pen.
•           The enrolled students only are eligible for participation.
•           Accuracy and speed are taken into account.
•           Should enroll on or before 11.09.2019.
•          One Participant for each competition except Quiz.
•           For Quiz Two participants per team.

QUIZ (09.30 a.m to 10.00 a.m)

•       Questions will be announced and students should write the answers.

e-Finder (10.00 a.m to 10.30 a.m.)

•       e-Finder questions will be on computer related electronic resources.
•        Questions will be announced and students should write the answers.

Word Finder - English (10.30 a.m to 11.00 a.m.)

•        Crossword Questions will be given.

Word Finder - Tamil (11.00 a.m to 11.30 a.m.)

•        Crossword Questions will be given.

Author Finder (11.30 a.m to 12.00 noon)

•        Questions will be on writing Author names for books.
•        Questions will be given.

SUDOKU (12.00 noon to 12.30 p.m.)

•         Number SUDOKU.
•          Questions will be given.

BOOK MARK CREATION (12.30 p.m to 01.00 p.m.)

1.    Preliminary round and final rounds will be conducted.

2.    Theme is “READING”

3.    Only one book mark should be submitted both preliminary

4.    Only one book mark should be created on the spot for final.

5.    Dimension : 7cm X 21 cm

6.    Participants should bring their own materials.

7.    10 students will be short listed for finals.

8.    Book Mark created for preliminary round should be submitted on or before 14.09.2019 and their names should be in the enrolled list.

9.    Preliminary result will be announced on 17.09.2019.

BOOK FINDER (01.00 p.m to 01.30 p.m.)

•         Locating books from our library.

STORY TELLING (01.30 p.m to 02.00 p.m.)

• 
  
•  Preliminary in written format and finals in oral format will be conducted.
• Language may be English or Tamil.
• Short-listed participants will be called for finals.
• The theme for story telling is “PERSEVERENCE” in English “விடாமுயற்சி“ in Tamil.
•  For preliminary round story should be written in one A4 sheet and not more than that.
• Preliminary story should be submitted on or before 14.09.2019 and their names should be in the enrolled list.
• Preliminary result will be announced on 17.09.2019.
• 10 students will be short listed for finals
• 5 minutes will be allotted for final oral presentation.
