VVVC Library - Library Books for Semester Examination

e-Circular

All the I, II year U.G., P.G., and M.Phil., students are asked to return their Library books and magazines on or before 14.03.2016.

            If they are in need of library books for EXAMINATION purpose, they (except final year U.G. and P.G. students) can renew from 15.03.2016 to 28.03.2016 and they can return the books in the beginning of the next semester (June 2016).

            Also, they are instructed to return their library bar-coded token on or before 21.03.2016.

2015-2016 VVVC LIBRARY BEST USER AWARDS - 07.03.2016

The WINNERS' DAY in our college encourages our students to excel in almost all curricular and co-curricular activities and the function has been made a grand success by the presence of Our College Managing Board Members and Principal, and awarding the certificates and prizes to the students in our Multipurpose Hall on 07.03.2016 at 10.00 a.m.

I thank our College Management and Principal for awarding the "OVERALL BEST LIBRARY USER AWARD" and "BEST LIBRARY USER AWARD" to motivate students on reading habit and to utilize our VVVC library to the maximum.

The students list have been tracked through our VVVC automated gate entry system and the BEST USERS have been ranked from the same.

The "OVERALL BEST LIBRARY USER AWARD" has been won by 12 students ranking from 1 to 10 in which Rank VIII is bagged by 3 students.

The "BEST LIBRARY USER AWARD" has been won by 114 top students from each major.

Dr.P.CLARA JEYASEELI AS CHIEF GUEST - FEMINA'2016 -THIAGARAJAR COLLEGE, MADURAI

I thank the Management, Principal and the faculty members especially Prof.Dr.Mrs.K.Saraswathy, Ass.Prof.of Botany and hostel students of Women's Hostel (Manimekalai Illam), Thiagarajar College, Madurai for inviting me as a Chief Guest to deliver the Keynote address on "HAPPY LIFE" at the 9TH HOSTEL DAY "FEMINA-2016" on 5th March, 2016 at Diamond Jubilee Hall.

I thank our VVV College Management and Principal for encouraging me to deliver the Keynote address. 

I thank our faculty members especially  Prof.Dr.Mrs.B.Karunai Selvi, HoD and Ass.Prof.of Botany for suggesting myself as the Keynote presenter.

I thank Ms.P.Nivetha, II M.A.English for her welcome address.

I must thank Prof.Dr.M.Eyini, Principal, Thiagarajar College for her enthusiastic Presidential address.

The annual report by Prof. Dr. Mrs.K.Saraswathy, Ass.Prof.of Botany highlighted the various activities of the institution in empowering women.

I thank the students of Thiagarajar College who interacted with me actively during the session and enthusiastically converted the session into an interactive one.

I must appreciate the alumni Ms.Priyanka, who completed her Computer Science course in Thiagarajar College, Madurai and now placed in Karur Vysya Bank for presenting mementos to the juniors who optimistically helped her to get the appointment.  It was a mind blowing incident and all the junior students felt very happy and showered their applause.  Also she sponsored sweets to the gathering from her first salary.

Prizes have been distributed for various competitions conducted previously to cheer the students.

The cultural events were awesome.

I must thank Ms.R.Mahalakshmi, M.Phil Scholar, Eng.Dept for her valuable vote of thanks.

The most appreciable service was the hospitality of the committee of FEMINA-2016.

VVVC QUIZ FINALE'16 - 02.03.2016

VVVC QUIZ FINALE'2016

We thank our College Management, Principal and the Youth Welfare Organization of our College for giving us the opportunity to conduct the grand VVVC QUIZ FINALE'16 for our College students on 02.03.2016 in the Multipurpose Hall at 02.30 p.m.

The objective of this grand finale is to outreach the current affairs to our college students and it has been achieved on the very same day through the students' keen involvement in answering the quiz questions and it has come to limelight that our students are updating their knowledge.  The introduction of library hour in the Time Table is one of the source for this achievement.

We must thank our College Management for encouraging us, motivating us and converting this quiz contest into a great grand Quiz Finale.  To our surprise they also contributed in conducting  visual round which was a highlighting feature of this show.

We Dr.P.Clara Jeyaseeli, Librarian and Dr.Mrs.Vaidhehi, Asst.Prof.in Economics were the quiz masters and each member of the Youth Welfare Organization headed by Prof.Dr.Mrs.Mahamayee, Associate Prof. in Commerce supported us a lot.  

We thank our faculty members who encouraged us in transforming the knowledge.

We thank our enthusiastic student community who listened and participated actively throughout the Finale'2016.

We thank our College Technical supporting staff who made the visual and audio round a grand success.

We thank God Almighty for showering his blessings in making this Finale a grand success.

I thank our College Management and our Principal for encouraging us to conduct this grand "16th VVVC Book Exhibition - 2016" in our college premises and also for granting Financial Assistance to procure new books to our College and Departmental Libraries. My heartfelt thanks again to our College Management and our Principal by granting permission to extend the expo for one more day (10.02.2016) which signifies their determination to uplift the scholastic population of our college on acquiring knowledge.

I thank all the faculty members from diverse discipline and the student community of our college by their august presence which showed their keen interest on gathering knowledge.

I thank our College PROs for making sincere pains to publish this expo in “THE HINDU” and “DINAMALAR” newspapers.

I thank the College Management,  Principal Rev.Sr.Dr.T.Nirmala  and the Head of the Library Rev.Sr.Dr.R.Fatima Mary Sylvia of Jayaraj Annapackiam College for Women (Autonomous), Periayakulam for inviting me as a resource person for the invited lecture session - III on "PUBLISHING ETHICS AND PLAGIARISM" in the UGC sponsored National Seminar on "RANKING THE RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS" on 27.01.2016 and 28.01.2016 organized by the Central Library, Jayaraj Annapackiam College for Women (Autonomous), Periyakulam, Theni Dt. 

I enjoyed the question session where the participants from various institutions actively posted their questions which showed their keen interest towards the topic.  I thank the JAC Library Committee faculty members, the faculty from all the departments of JAC and specially the student scholars who made remarkable comments.
